Zumba

In this lesson of Zumba what I had to do is follow the instructions of dancers on videos put up on youtube. Every time a dance was put up on youtube it had to be followed and in the end turned out to be fun.

The level of effort i rate myself is a merit the reason for this is because in my participation I was great, being involved in probably the majority of Zumba dances that was chosen. Examples shown was whenever a dance was put for the class to dance i'd be ready to do it but for some dances it'd be very complicated and hard to keep up with the instructor. But anyway this is why i think i have gotten a merit in this activity.

Well being- Skill level+ Previous experiences-

Well being had a negative effect on my participation because i had never done Zumba before which made me uncomfortable especially doing it in front of my friends. Skill level had a positive effect on my participation because I did so well with the routine or dances that were given and followed instructions. An example was when the class made a decision choosing a dance and we all had to do, as always doing Zumba I followed the instructions and got feedback from friends that I was doing great.

Previous experiences had a negative effect on my participation because it was my first time doing Zumba.

In the future something I can do to increase my participation is just to be confident and let nothing get in the way.

Badmington

In this game of Badmington the class was split up into groups of 2 where we challenged each other in a small tournament. The aim of the game was to try and get points by hitting the shuttlecock over the net landing on the ground. Fortunately my teammate and I came out as the underdogs of the tournament being undefeated.

Level of effort (merit)
why i rate myself a merit is because I felt like my performance was at this level. Demonstrating and being a team player. I started off on a low missing a lot of hits and along the way playing other teams my confedence level rose and I saw a couple of improvements, I was getting better. bouncing back from a low and ending of with a high was good. My teammate did exceptionally well getting many points and I supported him for that. Above all I never really thought i would enjoy it but I did.

3 factors
Equipment+ Fun and enjoyment+ Fitness+
Equipment had a positive effect on my participation because because I had everything i needed to play the game such as PE gear like clothing and sports footwear. I also used the badminton racket and net. Fun and enjoyment had a positive effect on my participation because I really enjoyed the game. it was shown while i was playing like the competition my friends and I had, the awesome spikes and the on going rallies. I never really thought it'd be this fun. Fitness had a positive effect on my participation because I was fit to play, I felt like I had a lot of energy and I managed to keep playing game after game without to getting too tired.

I think that my participation was great and don't really need to do anything to increase it in the future.

Tag

The activity I participated in was tag. In tag the aim was to try and score by placing the ball down in the try zone without my tags being pulled off. In teams off 5 the rules were that if the ball was dropped it would be a hand over to the other team, intercepts were allowed and if i got touch and i passed it it would be a hand over as well.

The level of effort I grade myself is a merit. why? during the activity I had lots of fun because everyone else was enjoying the game. It was a competitive game as well scoring try after try. I supported my team scoring try after try and also playing on defence. On defence i missed a couple of tags but after a while i got better and started getting lots of tags. When my team was struggling i supported them and motivated them to do better like when they would drop the ball i'd say "its alright just do catch next time".

Injury/illness+ Previous experiences+ Fitness+

injury and illness had a positive affect on my participation because even though i had a sore back i managed to pull through the activity. An example was when i felt pain in my back but still i carried on playing tag and would only sub if I had to. Previous experiences had a positive effect on my participation because i had played tag before which had a massive impact on me. Fitness had a positive effect on my participation because I wasn't really getting tired and my stamina was great. I managed to play and only sub of when necessary, to give my team mates a go.

In the future something i can do to increase my participation is just to keep doing what i'm doing because everything is positive and is at its best. doesn't need any improvement.

Volleyball

In today's lesson of volley the aim was to try and strike the ball over the net onto the opponents side and touch the ground to get a point. There were 2 teams and I enjoyed playing.

my level of effort is a merit, why? During the game I helped my teammates and supported them throughout the bad and good times whenever they'd muck up or do well. I also encouraged the other team and tell them to keep there heads up whenever they'd look down on there self which I could see. It showed on their faces and i knew something should've been done. I improved on a lot playing, like setting the ball in the right spot and striking it over the net.

at the end of the lesson I enjoyed playing volley which was great.

3 factors Sense of achievement+/skill level+/environment+

Sense of achievement affected my participation because whenever I kept setting the ball up so my team mate can spike i failed, but every time i tried it i got better and finally became successful. Skill level had a positive impact on my performance because even though i had some down moments where things wouldn't go my way it happens, most the time I performed well. For an example my serves were good and went over the net, most of the blocks i attempted were successful and sets to. Environment had a positive effect because the game was played indoors and the atmosphere surrounded by my friends was great and fun.

In the future something i can do to increase my participation is by keep doing what i'm doing but doing it better by making everything count like spiking more accurately and taking risks, doing things i haven't done before like blocking the spikier with 2 hands and being confident while doing.

Energy systems

Energy systems in basketball...
There are energy systems and within them there are 3, 1 is the atp-pc which last from 0-12, 2 is anaerobic which lasts for 12-2 mins and the last one is aerobic which continues from 2mins onwards
Examples
Free throw - 0-12 secs which is an atp-pc (phosphate)
lay-up - 0-12 secs once again atp-pc (phsophate)
Jump shot - 0-12 secs atp-pc (phsophate)

Fitness Suite circuit

In today's lesson of P.E I had to participate in a fitness circuit where I had to do 3 sets of bicep curls, use the rowing machine, Lunge jumps, Cycling, Russian twists, bur-pees, Medicine ball squats and a agility test. 2 of those sets were for 45 secs and the last set was for 20 secs at each station.

My level of effort I grade myself is a merit. Why? During the time of participating I co'operated in all of the activities from the rowing machine to the agility test. I did them within the given time, and when I had to move from station to station. An example was when I did the Russian twists and once the 45 secs were up, I moved onto the next which was bur-pees. I also helped a friend when he needed it and worked hard during the fitness circuit.

Injury/illness- Challenge+ Fitness+

Injury and illness affected my participation during the fitness circuit because at times when i'd be in the middle of a workout my sickness would get in the way, which would cause me to stop. An example that occurred was when i did bur-pees and in between the set of bur-pees i'd always have a break because my sickness would get to me. Challenge had a positive affect because many of the activities where hard only because I was tired. But during the breaks i regain my energy which allowed me to pull through them all.

Fitness had a positive affect on my participation because I was fit for all of the activities, for an instance when i'd feel tired throughout the workout i'd always pull through it and keep pushing.

In the future something I can do to increase my participation is being healthy and not ill so i can last a lot longer.

Ping pong

In the practical lesson of ping pong what I had to do first and the class was to set up the ping pong tables. In the game of Table tennis also known as (ping pong) the aim of the game is to try and strike the ball over the net towards the opponents just like in tennis.

The level of effort I grade myself is an achieved, Why? because during the time of setting up the equipment to play I would always get distracted and tempted to leave without staying and helping out my classmates. During times I'd help, another reason was because I thought I did well playing the game with my teammate and showing honesty if anything went wrong during the matches. Other then that I thought, during the game I participated well but during the construction of setting up the tables to play I did horrible and for that is why I grade myself an achieved.

Skill level- challenge+ friends/classmates+

First of skill level, it had a negative affect on my participation because at various times i'd come up with a mistake in the game which made me want to quit and stop playing. An example was when i kept missing and not striking the ping pong ball properly. Challenge what so ever had a positive affect on my participation because I felt like the teams were even, mixed up with underrated players. Something that happened during the games I played in was that teams gave me competition, only winning by 1 point in the first 2 games made me want to continue on with the winning streak.

Friends/classmates had a positive affect on my participation because during the time of being in teams of 2 my teammate would pick me up and encourage me to keep playing when I'd always make a mistake. An example was when I kept missing the ball and he'd always say "its alright USO, its alright".

In the future things I can do to increase my participation is by helping construct the tables.
